    When Cuba opened to American tourists a few years ago, visitors flooded the island, eager to see a place banned for nearly 50 years. Cuba's infrastructure was not quite ready for the throngs descending upon the tiny island, but, in the years since, the Caribbean nation took steps to expand its capacity and welcome new generations of travelers.
